Kupwara, March 28 (KNO) : Former chief minister and National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah blamed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the prevalent situation in Kashmir. The sufferings, pain of people, imposition of bans, PSAs and others being faced by Kashmirs is all because of Bhartiya Janta Party and RSS who were welcomed by PDP to the Valley. Addressing a workers’ convention at Lolab in Kupwara district, Omar claimed that, if NC is voted to power, it will remove the ban over Jama’at-e-Islami and JKLF on priority. “Suppressing their unarmed struggle isn't the solution; all those lodged in different jails across the Valley or outside will be released soon after NC comes to power,” Omar said. According to KNO correspondent, Omar lashed out at formation of new mainstream parties in Kashmir, stating why only Kashmir is seeing new political parties after every election, why not Jammu and Ladakh provisions. He said that BJP is acting with dual face and policy, they're talking quite different in Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir, it is BJP which succeeded in its plan to not hold the Assembly Elections in the state. Reacting to Ram Madhav’s statement during a press conference in Srinagar, Omar said if BJP isn't competent to hold assembly elections then they should come clear before public and accept that they have completely failed in this State. Omar claimed that, at the times whenever National Conference was out of power the special status of valley, 370 and 35-A was tampered, but NC always stood to safeguard it.(KNO)
